Before the Battle of Pelennor Fields, before the fall of Minas Morgul, and long before his final defeat at the hands of Éowyn and Merry, the Witch-king of Angmar came perilously close to claiming victory. On the lonely hill of Weathertop, beneath a cold and haunted sky, the Lord of the Nazgûl cornered Frodo Baggins. In that single moment, the fate of Middle-earth hung on the edge of a cursed Morgul blade.

Towering above his helpless prey, his ghostly form emerges from swirling darkness, his pale crown rising like jagged ice while his expression remains cold, ancient, and merciless. Layers of textured brushwork flow through his robes and spectral features, creating an almost supernatural movement, as though he is materializing from the shadows themselves. The deep blues and icy whites surrounding him evoke the unnatural chill of the wraith-world, while the swirling night sky seems to bend beneath his dreadful presence.

Though hidden beneath invisible armor in Tolkien's story, the Witch-king's face is imagined here as a haunting vision of death itself. and an ethereal ruler whose humanity has long since vanished beneath centuries of servitude to Sauron. His outstretched hand reaches forward with dreadful certainty, while the Morgul blade gleams beside him, carrying a poison designed not merely to kill, but to transform its victim into another enslaved wraith.
